The turbine rotor consists of a shaft with a disc, along the rim of which there are blades. Steam is supplied to these blades through special nozzles from a steam boiler. Due to the special shape of the nozzle, the internal energy of the steam is converted into the kinetic energy of the steam jet. Steam acts on the turbine blades, rotating it.
