Look for dead trees in the forest, lying on the ground or standing on the vine with peeling bark. Breaking off the bark, examine its inner side, break off pieces of rough wood. Find the mycelium strands and examine them under a magnifying glass.
Mushrooms destroy fallen (dead) trees (trunks), turning them into humus – this is a great benefit.
