| In aquatic plants, mechanical tissues are poorly developed; in an upright state, they are supported by high-density water, and in the air their stems fall due to weak tissues and a lower air density compared to the density of water. The conductive tissues and the root system are also poorly developed, since the minerals in the water are in a dissolved state and are easier to absorb.
