| One of the most famous books of ancient Greece was called “Styheia”. What “elements” were they talking about? Who wrote this book and when? Has it been translated into Russian?
“Styheia” is the Greek name for Euclid’s book “Beginnings” (in Latin it is called “Elements”). The book was created around 300 BC. and represents the world’s first textbook of geometry, in which this science is presented in a logical sequence, starting from its foundations.
