Place one wet crust of white bread in a sealed jar and the other in an open jar. See how the mold development will differ in both jars. What caused these differences?
The formation of mold in a closed jar will occur much faster than in an open one, because in a closed jar more comfortable conditions are created for the development of mold – heat, high humidity is the main condition for the development of fungi. In an open container, the air is dry and this inhibits the development of mold.
