Socio-political relations of Japan in the Middle Ages

– Feature: the idea of a strong central government has not been fully realized (there is no support – officials).
– X century. – local power → to the nobility, relying on warriors – samurai (land + peasants for service).
– Since the XII century. – shogunates – the power of military leaders over the territory.
XVII century – Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu united Japan into a single state → reforms in order to: limit the independence of feudal lords, attach peasants to the land; declared the country closed from Europeans (conservation of the social system of Japan).

Remember: The process of learning a person lasts a lifetime. The value of the same knowledge for different people may be different, it is determined by their individual characteristics and needs. Therefore, knowledge is always needed at any age and position.
