To create a coil, the current in which does not create a magnetic field, a bifilar winding is used. A piece of wire is folded in half and wound on a coil, as a result of which the magnetic fields of the opposite parts of the winding are the same in magnitude and opposite in direction. In practice, such winding is used for non-inductive wirewound resistors.
