Tell us about n-type semiconductors.

N-type semiconductors – a semiconductor in which the main charge carriers are conduction electrons.
In order to obtain an n-type semiconductor, the intrinsic semiconductor is doped with donors. Usually these are atoms that have one more electron on the valence shell than the atoms of the semiconductor that is doped. At not too low temperatures, electrons with a significant probability pass from donor levels to the conduction band, where their states are delocalized: and they can contribute to the electric current.
Usually, doping is carried out to a level of 10 ^ 13-10 ^ 19 donors per cm3.
At a high donor concentration, the semiconductor becomes degenerate.
