The color gene of cats is linked to the X chromosome. Black color is determined by the XB gene, red – by the Xb gene. Heterozygotes are tortoiseshell. Five red kittens were born from a tortoise cat and a ginger cat. Identify the genotypes of parents and offspring, the nature of the inheritance of characters.
1) Parent genotypes: cat ХВХb. Gametes cats XB and Xb. Cat XbY. Gametes of the cat Xb and Y.
