The observer is at the north pole of the Earth (φ = + 90o). The position of the vernal equinox point y is known (figure); the star has right ascension a = 120о, and declination b = + 60о. Find the height and azimuth of the star.
Height h = NKM = 40o.
Azimuth A = NEK = 85o.
