There is air between the plates of a flat capacitor connected to an electrometer. How will the readings of the electrometer change (increase or decrease) if a textolite plate (dielectric) is placed between the capacitor plates?
If the capacitor is connected to a source, then the voltage will not change, but the charge will increase. If the capacitor is disconnected from the source, then the charge will not change, but the voltage will decrease.
