Turkey in the 2nd World War

• Turkey first joined the Anglo-French bloc, and in 1940, after the surrender of France, began to draw closer to Nazi Germany and on June 18, 1941, while maintaining an alliance with Great Britain, concluded a treaty of friendship and non-aggression with Germany. When the fascist powers began to suffer defeat, Turkey again moved closer to Great Britain, as well as the United States.
• 1944- Turkey ruptured diplomatic relations with Germany
1945 – Turkey declared war on Japan and Germany
