Two test tubes contain colorless solutions: one contains a protein solution, the other contains a glucose solution. How to determine the contents of each tube?
The solutions are treated with concentrated nitric acid; a yellow color should appear in the test tube with the protein solution. We check the remaining glucose solution with an alkaline solution of copper sulfate – an intense blue color appears.
