Under stress, adrenaline is released, partially blocking pain receptors, since pain would be a distracting factor in a state of psychophysical stress. Yogis undergo long-term training, the result of which is the conscious control of the work of receptors, in particular, tactile, pain and temperature, as well as internal organs, for example, an arbitrary slowing down of the heart rate and breathing, which further weakens the body’s pain sensitivity.
