Was there any similarity in the history of the creation of the United States and states in Latin America?

From the very beginning, the United States developed as a state of Europeans on American soil. North American society was formed as an industrial society. The United States did not have the omnipotence of the church; the country developed as a presidential republic, with all democratic authorities inherent in this type of state. All this created conditions for the rapid development of the modernization process.
In the states of Latin America, the seeds of democracy have long and hard tried to break through the dominant norms of traditional society. Authoritarian regimes, caudillism stifled political freedoms.
Two Americas, two lifestyles. Different traditions. Different culture. Different types of society.
