Serious violations of international humanitarian law include premeditated killings, torture, intentional infliction of excessive suffering and serious personal injury, bodily harm, coercion to serve in the armed forces of the enemy, illegal movement of civilians, hostage-taking, illegal use of the red cross and red crescent emblem.
