Hybridomas are hybrid cells formed from protoplasts of the spleen lymphocytes of immunized animals and cancer cells.
Monoclonal – antibodies produced using hybridomas. They are used in medicine to neutralize diphtheria and tetanus toxins, snake venoms, to recognize antibodies and antigens, as well as biologically active substances (hormones, enzymes) found in blood, plasma and lymph.
