Characteristic features of the climate of Antarctica:
1. This continent is the most severe in terms of living among all the continents of the planet.
2. Almost completely covered with snow (or so compacted snow that it is more like ice).
3. The mainland receives a sufficiently large amount of solar radiation. It is comparable to equatorial countries, however, almost all radiation is simply reflected by snow.
4. It is the windiest mainland on Earth.
