What are the findings of fossil remains in the earth’s crust?

According to the prints and fossils that are found in the earth’s crust, scientists find out how the development of living nature went, how some organisms were displaced by others, their organization became more complicated. So, in the most ancient layers of the earth’s crust, only remnants of algae are found, in less ancient ones there are ferns, gymnosperms. Angiosperms appear even later.
