What are the main parts of a resistor?

The resistor consists of a frame made of non-combustible, non-conductive material. A wire made of metal with high resistivity (for example, nichrome) is wound on the frame. The outer part of the resistor is covered with a protective layer of non-conductive material. Terminals are used to connect resistors to the circuit.
