What are the methods of chromatography and electrophoresis used to study cells based on? What are their similarities?

| Chromatography is based on different speeds through the adsorbent of substances dissolved in a special solution. When such a solution is passed through an adsorbent, each substance from the mixture moves a certain distance, depending on its molecular weight. The adsorbents can be filter paper fibers, cellulose powder and other porous substances. Close to chromatography is a gel electrophoresis method, where electric current contributes to the separation of a mixture of substances in a solution. Chromatography and electrophoresis methods allow you to separate the mixture of substances isolated from the cell, to determine their qualitative and quantitative composition.
