The Prosecutor’s Office is a system of state bodies specially designed for public prosecution in criminal cases. The competence of the prosecution authorities includes the initiation of criminal cases, their investigation, as well as supporting the prosecution in court on behalf of the state. In addition, the prosecutor’s office oversees judicial activities, the enforcement of sentences, compliance with the law while serving a sentence, etc.
