What are the similarities and differences in the processes of photosynthesis and chemosynthesis?
May 29, 2020 | Education
| 1) Similarity: as a result of these processes, glucose is synthesized.
2) Differences: photosynthesis occurs in plant cells, in chloroplasts, and chemosynthesis – in cells of chemosynthetic bacteria (nitrogen, sulfur, iron bacteria) on membrane structures.
3) Oxygen is released as a result of photosynthesis, but not as a result of chemosynthesis
