What benefits and what troubles did the transition to the “German” way of life bring to Czech citizens?

The main novelties of the bourgeois way of life are a sharper stratification of property within one class, greater social mobility of the masses, and the greater role of personal wealth in comparison with hereditary privileges. This was beneficial to all participants in commodity production (merchants, artisans) and infringed upon the interests of those who lived in subsistence farming. The peasants, of course, suffered the most.
