| Bodies made of magnetic materials and capable of retaining magnetic properties for a long time, i.e. magnetization – called permanent magnets.
The poles of a magnet are those places where the magnetic properties are most pronounced. For clarity, the north pole is usually colored blue and the south pole red.
Like poles of magnets repel, and unlike poles attract.
