| 1) A decrease in the number of herbivorous mammals leads to an increase in the number of plants, since they will be eaten less by animals.
2) The reduction in the number of herbivorous (first order consumers) leads to a decrease in the number of second (and subsequent) order consumers – predators, since they will not have enough food.
