1) Microspores are formed as a result of meiosis from maternal spore cells (sporogenous tissue).
2) Vegetative and generative pollen grain cells are formed as a result of mitosis of microspores.
3) Sperm are formed as a result of mitosis of the generative cell
4) All named cells are haploid
