What colonial goods were imported by Spain and Portugal in the 16th century? What did they take to their colonies?

Ivory, gold dust, slaves were imported from Africa to Spain; from America – silver, gold, gems; from Asia – cheap products of local artisans (fabrics, carved wood and bone, metal, gems) and spices. The export to the colonies in the 16th century was small: most of the products of European industry were uncompetitive in the markets of the East, so the colonialists were outright plundering.
