What do you know about the fall of large meteorites to Earth?

Large meteorites can affect the Earth’s motion, climate. When falling, large meteorites do not completely burn out in the atmosphere, but reach the earth’s surface. A collision with the Earth is accompanied by a powerful explosion, and a large crater remains at the crash site – a crater. There is an assumption that the extinction of large reptiles (dinosaurs) was caused by a sharp cooling in the climate due to a meteorite fall.
