The image of an object in a flat mirror is its mirror symmetrical reflection. The plane of the mirror surface is the plane of symmetry. For example, the fastener on a man’s jacket in the mirror looks like a woman’s, the sneaker on his left foot in the mirror seems to be right, etc. The sizes of objects are equal to the image sizes of these objects. The distance from the mirror to the imaginary image of the object is equal to the distance from the object itself to the mirror.
