What functions in the cell do mitochondria; plastids?

The function of mitochondria is participation in energy cellular processes, the formation of ATP. There are three types of plastids – chloroplasts, chromoplasts and leukoplasts. The function of chloroplasts is photosynthesis, i.e., the synthesis of organic substances from water and carbon dioxide using the energy of sunlight. The function of chromoplasts is the color attraction of animals that provide pollination of flowers and the spread of seeds, leukoplasts – the formation of starch from glucose and its accumulation in the storage organs of plants.
