What happens in the nephron?

A separate nephron consists of a capsule and a renal tubule. Due to the high blood pressure in the glomerular capillaries, water and small molecules of various substances contained in the blood plasma pass through the thin single-layer walls of the capsule and enter the slit space of the capsule, from which the renal canal begins. The resulting solution is called primary urine.
