What ideas about the world did a person of the Middle Ages have? What did he consider the center of the earth? What areas have been studied better than others?
The center, or “navel”, of the Earth was considered the city of Jerusalem, in which the Tomb of Jesus Christ is located. The East was depicted above, there is a mountain where the earthly paradise is located. The territories of Europe have been best studied.
Remember: The process of learning a person lasts a lifetime. The value of the same knowledge for different people may be different, it is determined by their individual characteristics and needs. Therefore, knowledge is always needed at any age and position.
