| 1. Arterial bleeding occurs when the arteries are damaged and is the most dangerous.
2. The most reliable way to temporarily stop severe arterial bleeding on the upper and lower extremities is to impose a hemostatic tourniquet or twist, that is, a circular tug of limb.
3. In the absence of a harness, any improvised material can be used (rubber tube, trouser belt, scarf, scarf, rope, etc.).
