Pressure is the ratio of the modulus F of the pressure force acting on the surface to the area S of this surface: p = F / S
In SI, the unit of pressure is pascal; 1 Pa = 1 N / m2
Pressure is also measured in atmospheres: 1 atm. = 101325 Pa
