| Venus has a dense atmosphere, consisting mainly of carbon dioxide (96%), nitrogen (3.2%), a small amount of oxygen and other elements. The planet’s atmosphere is rarefied, its pressure near the surface is approximately equal to 1/150 atm. Consists of carbon dioxide (96%), nitrogen (2.7%). argon (1.6%), traces of oxygen (0.13%). water vapor (0.03%). The atmosphere of the giant planets consists of hydrogen (82%), helium (18%) and traces of other chemical elements.
