What is the composition of the blood?

Blood consists of plasma and corpuscles (blood cells); the share of plasma accounts for 55-60% of the blood volume, and the remaining 40-45% – for the formed elements. By its composition, plasma consists of water, proteins, fats, and mineral salts.
The blood cells include erythrocytes, leukocytes and platelets.
