| 1) A Rh-negative mother and a Rh-positive father can produce a Rh-positive child.
2) Rhesus conflict is possible. Through the placenta, a foreign protein enters the bloodstream of the woman, for which antibodies are produced.
3) During the second pregnancy (second pregnancy with a Rh-positive fetus), these antibodies can work against the baby and cause pregnancy complications up to its termination and hemolytic disease of the newborn.
