Pasture chains (eating chains) are food chains that begin with producers and include consumers of different orders. Detrital chains (decomposition chains) – food chains that begin with detritus include reducers of various orders and end with minerals. In detrital chains, the transfer of the substance and energy of detritus by reducers of various orders through the products of their vital activity occurs.
