What is the difference between plastic and energy exchange?

In the course of plastic exchange, organic substances are synthesized, this process consumes the energy contained in the ATP molecules. Due to the reactions of plastic metabolism, cell growth, development and division occur. Energy metabolism consists in the oxidative decomposition of organic compounds, while energy is released, which is partially spent on the synthesis of ATP and various physiological processes in the cell, and part is dissipated in the form of thermal energy. At a young age, plastic metabolism prevails in humans.
