With complete dominance, the dominant allele completely suppresses the manifestation of the recessive allele; therefore, the dominant trait appears in both homozygotes (AA) and heterozygotes (Aa). In the case of incomplete dominance, a dominant trait appears only in the presence of two dominant alleles in the genotype (AA). If the body is heterozygous (Aa) i.e. it has only one dominant allele; in the phenotype, a trait is shown that is intermediate between dominant and recessive.
