What is the name of the set of chromosomes in somatic cells?

The nuclei of somatic cells contain, as a rule, a double, or diploid, set of chromosomes, i.e., two chromosomes of each species. Initially, half of the chromosomes went to each cell from the mother’s egg, and the exact same chromosomes came from the father’s sperm.
