Heterosis, or hybrid strength, can be observed in the first generation during hybridization between representatives of various species or varieties. It is manifested by increased vitality, increased growth and other features. A classic example of heterosis in unrelated crosses is Nar – a hybrid of one-humped and two-humped camels. This is a strong, hardy animal, widely used in extreme conditions.
