| What is the reason for the defeats of the French in the battles of Crecy, Poitiers, Azincourt and in the “battle of spurs” at Courtray? Why didn’t the French learn anything from these defeats?
By the XIV century, the development of feudalism in France ended and the feudal lords lost the ability to “learn” what required them to give up part of the feudal privileges. The English knights learned this in the strife of the XII-XIII centuries, when feudalism was still developing.
