What is the role of DNA in the transfer of genetic information?

Hereditary information on the primary structure of the protein is contained in the sequence of nucleotides in double-stranded DNA molecules. That is, genetic information about the body is enclosed in a DNA sequence. During cell division, this information is transmitted to the daughter cell, during reproduction – to descendants.
