Hertz’s works are the most important stage in the development of electrodynamics. They combine the substantiation of the reality of electromagnetic waves theoretically discovered by Maxwell and the construction of original devices – a vibrator and a resonator. Hertz not only received electromagnetic waves, but also measured the speed of their propagation.
