What is the structure and principle of the generator?

A generator is a device that converts mechanical energy into electrical energy. The main parts of an induction generator are a movable rotor and a fixed stator. The rotor mounted on the generator shaft is an electromagnet that rotates inside the stator. The current to the rotor winding is supplied through brushes and rings from a special DC generator – an exciter located on the same shaft. When the rotor rotates, the windings rotate in the stator magnetic field, while the magnetic flux penetrating them periodically changes. These changes generate a vortex electric field, as a result of which an alternating EMF appears in the windings, which feeds the external network.
