Essay on the topic: What makes a person successful
A successful person in the modern sense is one who has achieved recognition, popularity, wealth. Some of them were born in wealthy families and took advantage of this advantage, while others earned everything out of nothing with their labor, talent and not without the help of luck. Now it’s easier to become a successful person, because the Internet gives almost everyone an opportunity to show others their abilities, find supporters and influence the worldview of thousands of people. One has only to want and make an effort.
So, in order to become successful, a person, firstly, needs to want this. After all, motivation is a big driving force. Secondly, you have to work hard. In order to earn recognition and money, you need to give people something necessary, useful, something that will improve their life. It can be anything – a scientific discovery, beautiful songs or a fascinating film, a new recipe for a delicious dish or a comfortable and fashionable style of clothing. Thirdly, you need to be brave enough to present your idea to people, be able to listen to criticism and defend your point of view. Even very good ideas and inventions may not reach people if you do not “submit” them correctly.
Unfortunately, those people who are now admired by millions have not always really presented the world with something useful. Some of them become authorities for others only through their glamorous lifestyle, which they expose on Instagram, beautiful appearance, accessibility in chic things and entertainment, inaccessible to mere mortals. They advertise truly unnecessary things to anyone, impose a way of thinking and standards of beauty. They seem to do it just for the money.
In my opinion, a person who has achieved recognition in some business useful to others can be considered truly successful. For such people, it’s not a pity for money, love or admiration. These are outstanding scientists, doctors, teachers, artists, politicians, they try for their citizens, ordinary people, conscientiously and with pleasure do any work necessary for society, these are parents who raise their children well, and in general everyone who strives for a good life not only for myself, but for others. And material reward and glory for them is not the main thing.
