| Light – A beam of light rays falling into a microscope is first converted to a parallel stream, and then refracted in the eyepiece. Then the information about the object of study enters the human visual analyzer.
Electronic Transmissive – In a transmission electron microscope, electrons pass through an object that must be thin enough for this study.
Electronic Scanning – The sample under study in an industrial vacuum environment is scanned by a focused electron beam of medium energy.
