What role do population waves play in evolution?

Population waves are a factor in evolution. One of the permanent and important traits of populations is the fluctuation of numbers. For the first time, S.S. Chetverikov, and called them the waves of life. The reasons for the fluctuation are varied:
-abiotic – fires, drought, floods, volcanoes
-biotic – an outbreak of infections.
The action of these waves involves the random destruction of individuals. Moreover, the genotypic composition of populations can change unpredictably, and even until the species completely disappears.

Remember: The process of learning a person lasts a lifetime. The value of the same knowledge for different people may be different, it is determined by their individual characteristics and needs. Therefore, knowledge is always needed at any age and position.
